Carlo Collodi, writer of the original Pinocchio tale, would be proud of Real Time Gaming for this recreation. If he were into online slots, that is...
Italian citizen Collodi is credited with creating the Pinocchio character, which first appeared in print in 1883, 57 years before getting co-opted and popularized by Walt Disney Motion Pictures. Having said this, Pinocchio software designers Real Time Gaming do a swell job in capturing the tale’s essence for the online slot format while avoiding the look of omnipresent Disney.
Pinocchio players are immediately hit upon opening the game by its splash of color, four-color comic-strippish with a few wood tones accenting, naturally. The symbols are nicely done enough, with well-known icons like the cuckoo clocks, schoolbooks and whale. And of course (?), there’s the familiar A-K-Q-J-10 run.
The sound in the Pinocchio online slots game is mostly comprised of ascending, wood percussive tones. The scatter here is Tinkerbell; gather three of these fun fairies for free spins and the obligatory promises of real boyhood. Lining up five cuckoo clocks wouldn’t be too shabby, either: That’s a 1,000x payout in and of itself.
