Players are dealt five cards by the dealer in Louisiana Double Poker. The player clicks on the cards he or she wants to hold. If the player is dealt a winning hand the relevant cards will automatically be held. The player has the choice to release any cards at any time. By clicking on Draw the poker player replaces the free card. Payout tables can explain the payouts in more detail. Some casinos offer a double option where the player is dealt one card face up and four cards face down. The player then selects any one of the face down cards and if the card is higher doubles their wins.
