What on Earth is a 5-reel 9-payline combination of sci-fi and pub games, with beringed Saturn-sized plums, mad suns eclipsed by cherries and oranges, and watermelon planets orbited by seedy melon moons; alongside these are Bradbury-esque rocketships, kooky aliens and malevolently glowing green asteroids. The sound effects are mostly polite little robotic boops, understated pings and kachungs of computers straight outta the more valium-prone Doug Adamsian artificial intelligence. Ethereal space music wins out over a pompous John Williams score thing. The first bonus round is a slight letdown, sending you into suburbia, but a suburbia above which float five weird aliens and their sporty single-being spaceships. Choose one for a bonus multiplier and the ET Scotty will beam it up. Up to 400x bonus multiplier, like the truth, is out there. This captain’s log gives What on Earth an LCD rating of warp 7.
