In just a few years, live-dealer online casino games have gone from obscure high-end offering at the (very) occasional website to full-on standard offering with serious real-time technology backing it up. The news only gets better for online gamers, though, particularly for U.K. players ... and particularly for U.K. bingo players, of which there are zillions.
For those not in the know, live-dealer internet casino games utilise video feeds with real dealers sitting at real tables. Players can see the dealers manipulate the cards though the live video feed, and the cards are digitized with players making bets online.
And coming soon ... live-dealer bingo!
Live bingo games are soon to be offered by U.K.-based company Atac Media. Live video feeds will be shown on Sky Channel 166 TV every evening, and players must go online to play along. Meanwhile, gaming software giant Playtech also announced that it would be providing bingo to the U.K. and beyond, thanks to a five-year agreement signed with NetPlay TV.
Playtech paid a whopping £12.8 million for the rights to NetPlay’s extensive bingo platform which includes well-known brands Supercasino, Bingos and EuroTeleMillions. Upon announcing the deal, Playtech CEO Mor Weizer stated that “We believe [live-dealer] gaming is going to be very big in the coming years and, as such, a significant investment in this business makes perfect sense.”
